Welcome to the Town of Flambeau!

Welcome to the Township of Flambeau, one of the oldest townships in Rusk County, Wisconsin.

The township has a population of 1,070 and sits in the center of the county just north of the city of Ladysmith, with US Highway 8 forming much of the southern boundary. The Flambeau River runs through a corner of the township and there are also several small rivers, creeks and lakes. The Dairyland Flowage, formed from the Flambeau River provides for fishing and recreation opportunities. Farmland and forested areas make for a variety of scenery. Snowmobile trails and ice fishing provide winter recreational opportunities.
